R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Elena Cantu, a special education teacher at the |
|
|
Rosedale School, has been named a 2025 Teacher of Promise in the |
|
|
Austin Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Every year, each Austin ISD campus nominates one |
|
|
first-year educator to represent their school as a Teacher of |
|
|
Promise; this accolade recognizes individuals who are |
|
|
student-centered and enthusiastic and who actively participate in |
|
|
improving their campus environments; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Elena Cantu exemplifies the passion, determination, |
|
|
and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our best teachers, |
|
|
and she has set a standard of excellence to which all in her |
|
|
profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Elena Cantu on |
|
|
her selection as the 2025 Teacher of Promise at the Rosedale School |
|
|
and that she be extended sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
with her important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Cantu as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
