R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Camille McWhorter has distinguished herself in her |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Terri Leo Wilson during the 1st Called Session of |
|
|
the 89th Texas Legislature; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. McWhorter has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. McWhorter is a senior in the honors college at |
|
|
Concordia University Texas, where she is majoring in law and |
|
|
policy; she has been recognized on the dean's list and as a moot |
|
|
court competitor, and she also competes as a hurdler on the school's |
|
|
track team; dedicated to community service, she has completed 250 |
|
|
hours of mission work in the United States and abroad, and she |
|
|
currently works as a childcare assistant at Riverbend Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Camille McWhorter has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Camille McWhorter |
|
|
for her service as a legislative aide in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Terri Leo Wilson and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. McWhorter as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
