R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
  memories of Ruth Ann Bewley of Longview, who passed away on
  April 28, 2025, at the age of 75; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Sam and Lora Ruth Beasley, the
  former Ruth Ann Beasley was born in Athens on June 11, 1949, and she
  grew up with the companionship of two brothers, Ronnal and Dayton;
  after graduating from Mansfield High School, she went on to
  complete cosmetology school; she then served the Mansfield
  community as a hairstylist for a number of years before moving to
  Longview; and
         WHEREAS, In 1989, she exchanged vows with the love of her
  life, Terry Bewley, and the couple shared a rewarding marriage that
  spanned 36 years; she took great pride in her two children, Charis
  Barron and the late Chad Horton, as well as her two stepchildren,
  Jennifer Hicks and Tim Bewley; with the passing years, she had the
  pleasure of seeing her treasured family grow to include two
  grandchildren, Madison and Camden; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Bewley enjoyed a 32-year tenure at Cloud's Food
  Service, where she worked alongside her brother; she delighted in
  traveling with her husband in their Mooney aircraft to locations
  across the South; above all else, she was dedicated to her family,
  and she cherished the time she spent hosting barbecues and sharing
  her home with others; and
         WHEREAS, Ruth Ann Bewley led a life of caring devotion to her
  loved ones, and although she is deeply missed, her spirit will
  forever live in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature, 1st
  Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Ruth Ann Bewley
  and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Terry Bewley; to her daughter, Charis Barron and her
  husband, Chris; to her stepchildren, Jennifer Hicks and her
  husband, Kevin, and Tim Bewley and his wife, Trisha; to her
  daughter-in-law, Ruth Horton; to her grandchildren, Madison Horton
  and Camden Barron; to her nephews, Sam and Ronnie Beasley; and to
  her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Ruth Ann Bewley.
