R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of L. June Chenault of Henderson on June 7, 2025, at the age
  of 88; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of James Overton Crider and Mary Lola
  Richardson Crider, the former June Crider was born in Corsicana on
  May 26, 1937, and she grew up with the companionship of two sisters,
  Mary Jim and Jo Lynn; she later moved with her family to Tulsa,
  Oklahoma, where she graduated in 1955 from Central High School; and
         WHEREAS, In the 1970s, Mrs. Chenault embarked on a rewarding
  career in childcare when she opened the Northlake Creative Learning
  Center in Coppell, which she operated for more than two decades; she
  later owned or directed a number of other childcare facilities in
  East Texas; her lifelong love for children was further evident in
  the time she spent serving in various leadership positions with her
  local Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, as well as with the
  parent-teacher association; a woman of strong faith, she was a
  valued member of the Broad Street Church of Christ in Mineola, where
  she frequently assisted with the youth ministry and church events;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Chenault took great pride in her three
  children, Cheryl, David, and James, and with the passing years, she
  had the pleasure of seeing her treasured family grow to include
  seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; she was preceded
  in death by her husbands, Harrison Chenault and Roy Bailey; and
         WHEREAS, Although June Chenault is deeply missed, memories of
  her strength of character and her devotion to caring for others
  remain to comfort and inspire those she leaves behind; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature, 1st
  Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of L. June Chenault
  and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  children, Cheryl Cupples and her husband, Randall, and David
  Chenault and his wife, Lynna; to her grandchildren, April, Ashley,
  Abbey, Peyton, Lara, Emery, and Harrison; to her
  great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and many friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of June Chenault.
