SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize YES to YOUTH Montgomery County Youth Services for
empowering young citizens, strengthening families, and saving
  lives in Montgomery County; and
WHEREAS, YES to YOUTH began more than 45 years ago as a
small, volunteer-led agency committed to mentoring troubled
youth; since its humble beginnings, the organization has
developed into a network of broad-ranging support services for
children and families in Montgomery County who are facing mental
health struggles, abuse, neglect, homelessness, or human
  trafficking; and
WHEREAS, YES to YOUTH's BridgeWay Youth Shelter in Conroe
provides a safe home, beds, and services for vulnerable children
ranging from age 10 to 17 who are under the conservatorship of
Texas Child Protective Services; BridgeWay is the only licensed
youth shelter in the area that serves a broad range of youth
clients rather than limiting its services to provide for a
specific client population; the shelter has given hope to many
over the years, and in 2024, it served as a refuge for more than
  80 children in need; and
WHEREAS, YES to YOUTH's Youth and Family Services program
is staffed by a team of devoted licensed counselors who provide
families in crisis with immediate support and trauma-informed
counseling; the trusted care professionals also staff a 24-hour
crisis hotline and help to inform meaningful mental health
awareness and suicide prevention programs in local schools; and
WHEREAS, A trusted resource and a safe haven to many, YES
to YOUTH is helping to restore futures and bring hope to young
citizens and families, and all who have helped the organization
to grow and succeed in its mission are truly deserving of special
  recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend all associated
with YES to YOUTH Montgomery County Youth Services for their
exemplary efforts and their many outstanding contributions to
the youth and families of Montgomery County; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas
  Senate.
