R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The family and friends of Amanda Dawn Wallace |
|
suffered an immeasurable loss with her death on February 6, 2025, at |
|
the age of 46; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Edward and Beatrice Wallace, Amanda |
|
Wallace was born in Tyler on February 23, 1978, and she grew up with |
|
the companionship of a brother, Jeffrey; she lived in Mineola |
|
throughout her early youth, where she further benefited from the |
|
kinship of a large extended family that included a number of |
|
maternal and paternal cousins, aunts, and uncles; as a teenager, |
|
she moved with her family to Amarillo, and she later graduated from |
|
Scott Community College in Bettendorf, Iowa, with a degree in |
|
dental hygiene; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Wallace shared a rewarding 25-year partnership |
|
with her fiancé, Jason Epton; she took great pride in her children, |
|
Elijah and Gabriella, and with the passing years she had the |
|
pleasure of seeing her treasured family grow to include a grandson, |
|
Gianni; and |
|
WHEREAS, A kind and compassionate woman who never met a |
|
stranger, Ms. Wallace found great fulfillment in her many |
|
friendships; in her leisure hours, she enjoyed spending time |
|
outdoors and cheering on the Green Bay Packers with her fiancé; |
|
above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her family, to |
|
whom she provided immense love and support; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Amanda Wallace |
|
will remember the way she touched their lives with her generosity, |
|
optimism, and humor, and she will forever hold a treasured place in |
|
their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature, 1st |
|
Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Amanda Dawn |
|
Wallace and extend sincere condolences to the members of her |
|
family: to her children, Elijah Wallace and his wife, Cadence, and |
|
Gabriella Delcenia Cruz Trevino; to her grandson, Gianni Cruz |
|
Placensia; to her fiancé, Jason Epton; to her brother, Jeffrey |
|
Wallace; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this |
|
day, it do so in memory of Amanda Wallace. |
