R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
  memories of Thelma McCuller Snedeker of Longview, who passed away
  on January 6, 2025, at the age of 87; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Haskell Mahan and Willa Josephine
  Nash Mahan, the former Thelma Mahan was born on January 26, 1937, in
  Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and grew up sharing in the companionship of her
  twin sister, Velma, and sister, Margie; she attended school in the
  Pine Tree Independent School District and later continued her
  education at Kilgore College; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Snedeker entered the workforce as a teenager
  when she took a job at a Longview soda shop; she went on to work in
  the meat department at a number of grocery stores before embarking
  on a rewarding career as a caregiver in East Texas that spanned more
  than three decades; and
         WHEREAS, This beloved woman married Robert McCuller in 1956,
  and the couple shared a fulfilling union of nearly six decades until
  Mr. McCuller's passing; they were blessed with seven children,
  Robin, Rena, Rhonda, Roger, Richard, Robert, and Randy, and through
  the years, Mrs. Snedeker had the privilege of seeing her family
  grow to include nine grandchildren, Matthew, Courtney, Koda,
  Miranda, Monica, Tyler, Logan, Roger, and Reagan, as well as
  numerous great-grandchildren; her life was further enriched by her
  marriage to Walter Snedeker, who also preceded her in death; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Snedeker enjoyed a variety of hobbies,
  including dancing, fishing, and traveling, and she delighted in
  playing card games and dominoes with her friends; in all her
  endeavors, she drew great strength from her Baptist faith; and
         WHEREAS, Although Thelma Snedeker is deeply missed, those who
  held her dear will always remember the warmth and kindness she
  brought into their lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature, 1st
  Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Thelma McCuller
  Snedeker and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her
  family: to her daughters, Robin McCuller, Rena Fields, and Rhonda
  Glezen and her husband, Scott; to her sons, Roger McCuller Sr. and
  Richard McCuller; to her grandchildren, Matthew Comer, Courtney and
  Koda Fields, Miranda McCuller, Monica McCuller, Tyler and Logan
  Glezen, Roger McCuller Jr., and Reagan McCuller; to her sister,
  Margie Radford; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Thelma Snedeker.
