R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A life filled with joyful times and meaningful |
|
accomplishments drew to a close with the passing of Dale Eston Hall |
|
on May 5, 2025, at the age of 61; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Mary and Harlan Hall, Dale Hall was born |
|
in Odessa on August 15, 1963, and he grew up in Longview with the |
|
companionship of his sister, Diane; he attended Longview High |
|
School, where his musical talents were demonstrated as a trombone |
|
player in the school band; following graduation, he went on to |
|
attend Austin Community College; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hall enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a |
|
computer specialist for the State of Texas, and his efforts were |
|
recognized with multiple employee of the month awards; and |
|
WHEREAS, A man of strong faith, Mr. Hall was a valued member |
|
of First Baptist Church Longview and Hyde Park Church in Austin; |
|
known for his keen wit, altruistic nature, and infectious smile, he |
|
delighted in helping others, and he had a great love for animals, |
|
including his cherished dog, Patches; in his leisure hours, he |
|
enjoyed cooking and grilling; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dale Hall possessed a generosity of spirit that |
|
expressed itself in myriad ways, and he enriched the lives of |
|
countless people with his warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature, 1st |
|
Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Dale Eston Hall |
|
and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
father, Harlan Hall; to his sister, Diane Rice and her husband, |
|
Mark; to his nephew, Justin Rice; and to his other relatives and |
|
many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this |
|
day, it do so in memory of Dale Hall. |
