R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Billy Daryl Pyron of Tyler, who passed away on May 18, 2025, at
  the age of 85; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Tyler on November 20, 1939, to Eddie and Ona
  Pyron, Billy Pyron grew up with the companionship of his brothers,
  Bobby and Mike; he was a member of the Tyler High School Class of
  1958 and went on to attend Tyler Junior College; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Pyron enjoyed a rewarding career in commercial
  real estate; his many efforts included founding Pyron Investments,
  and he was instrumental in the development of south Tyler; active in
  the community, he was a member of the Cedars of Lebanon and the
  Willow Brook and Hollytree Country Clubs as well as a proud
  supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Tunnel
  to Towers Foundation; a man of faith, he grew up as a member of
  Central Baptist Church, and he later attended Cathedral of the
  Immaculate Conception for many years; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Pyron was the proud father of four children,
  Merilyn, Shelley, Rhonda, and Billy, and with the passing years, he
  delighted in becoming "Big Daddy" to his six grandchildren, Hunter,
  Morgan, Clayton, Carley, Cole, and Billy, and to his
  great-grandchildren; in all his endeavors, he benefited from the
  love and support of his longtime companion, Judith; he treasured
  spending time with his loved ones, especially at Lake Palestine and
  on family trips in the motorhome; he also enjoyed collecting unique
  sports cars and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas
  Longhorns; and
         WHEREAS, Admired for his generosity, his wonderful sense of
  humor, and his devotion to his family and friends, Billy Pyron lived
  a life that was rich in personal and professional achievements, and
  he will forever be a source of inspiration to those he leaves
  behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature, 1st
  Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Billy Daryl
  Pyron and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family:
  to his longtime companion, Judith D. Elliott; to his daughters,
  Merilyn Hartley, Shelley Simpson and her husband, John, and Rhonda
  Overbergen and her husband, Todd; to his children's mother,
  Merigale Manziel Pyron; to his grandchildren, Hunter Hartley and
  his wife, Jennifer, Morgan Hartley and her husband, William,
  Clayton, Carley, and Cole Overbergen, and Billy Pyron III; to his
  great-grandchildren; and to his many other relatives and friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Billy Pyron.
