R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Mary Alice Eady of Longview on June 6, 2025, at the age of
  81; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Obie and Vicki Harrell, the former
  Mary Harrell was born in Columbia, Mississippi, on October 9, 1943,
  and she grew up with the companionship of three brothers, Bobby,
  Billy, and Tommy; and
         WHEREAS, She married Charles Jerry Eady, and the couple
  shared a rewarding marriage that spanned 53 years until his passing
  in 2015; she took great pride in their two daughters, Kelly and
  Cindi, and through the years, she had the pleasure of seeing her
  treasured family grow to include four grandchildren and a
  great-grandchild; devoted to her loved ones, she cherished the time
  that she spent with them; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Eady was also a woman of strong faith and an
  active member of her church, where she was a regular volunteer; she
  also enjoyed reading the Bible daily; and
         WHEREAS, Mary Eady brightened the lives of all who knew her
  with her compassion, humor, and caring nature, and those who were
  privileged to share in her love and friendship will always remember
  her with great tenderness and affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature, 1st
  Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Mary Alice Eady
  and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  daughters, Kelly Alston and her husband, Aaron, and Cindi Hudson
  and her husband, Rocky; to her brother, Tommy Harrell; to her
  grandchildren, Macey and Atley Alston, Colby Hudson and his wife,
  Sarah, and Ty Hudson; to her great-grandchild, Jericho Hudson; to
  her sisters-in-law, Margaret Harrell, Joyce Sclease and her
  husband, Jon, and Barbara Morgan; and to her other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Mary Eady.
