SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 86
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Marsha Lester
 
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort
  those saddened by the death of Marsha Sue Lester of Tyler on
  June 7, 2025, at the age of 83; and
 
         WHEREAS, The former Marsha Morgan was born to Bruno and
  Maurine Morgan on January 2, 1942, in Corpus Christi, and she
  grew up sharing in the companionship of an older sister, Nancy; a
  graduate of W. B. Ray High School, she attended cosmetology
  school on a scholarship and went on to spend several years
  working for a beauty shop in Lichtenstein's Department Store; and
 
         WHEREAS, One day at the store, she met her future husband,
  Ben Lester, and the couple married six months later on
  September 19, 1964; in the course of a rewarding union that
  spanned nearly 61 years, the couple created a fine family that
  included their three sons, Andrew, Aaron, and Arick, five
  grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson; and
 
         WHEREAS, Although she will be deeply missed, the passage of
  time will never diminish the joy and love that Marsha Lester
  brought into the lives of all who knew her; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Marsha Sue Lester and extend heartfelt sympathy to her family
  and friends; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Marsha Lester.
