R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cy-Fair Republican Women is hosting its 20 Year |
|
|
Founder' s Day Celebration on July 8, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded in June 2005 by a small group of women in the |
|
|
northwest Houston area, CFRW is dedicated to promoting the |
|
|
principles of the Republican Party; the club supports the election |
|
|
of candidates at the local, state, and national levels, engages the |
|
|
public about civic issues, and provides opportunities for members |
|
|
to become politically active; today, the club benefits from the |
|
|
able leadership of its president, Trish Powell; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During its 20 Year Founder' s Day Celebration, CFRW |
|
|
will honor a number of its original members; the event will also |
|
|
feature guest speaker Steve Munisteri, who served as chair of the |
|
|
Republican Party of Texas for three terms; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For two decades, Cy-Fair Republican Women has worked |
|
|
tirelessly to advance the goals and values of the Republican Party |
|
|
and to promote an informed electorate in Texas, and its members may |
|
|
indeed take great pride in their many accomplishments; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate the 20 Year |
|
|
Founder' s Day Celebration hosted by Cy-Fair Republican Women and |
|
|
that all those associated with the club be extended sincere best |
|
|
wishes for the future. |
