R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the passing of |
|
eight-year-old Virginia Wynne Naylor of Richardson, who was |
|
tragically lost in the July 4, 2025, flooding in Kerr County; and |
|
WHEREAS, Wynne Naylor was the daughter of Cole and Alli |
|
Naylor, and she was blessed with the affection of two younger |
|
sisters; she was a student at Lake Highlands Elementary School in |
|
Dallas; and |
|
WHEREAS, Wynne drew great strength from her religious faith, |
|
and her life was also profoundly shaped by the time she spent |
|
hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors with her family; to |
|
honor her memory, her family has established the More Like Wynne |
|
Fund, which will provide support to local schools, youth wildlife |
|
conservation initiatives, and Christian ministries; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Wynne Naylor's time on this earth was far |
|
too brief, memories of her kindness and her adventurous spirit will |
|
live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|
of Virginia Wynne Naylor and extend heartfelt condolences to her |
|
loved ones and to all those who share in the sorrow of her loss; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Wynne |
|
Naylor. |
