R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt by |
|
the family and friends of Hadley Rebecca Hanna of University Park, |
|
who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 8; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on February 13, 2017, to William and Carrie |
|
Hanna, Hadley Hanna was blessed with the companionship of her two |
|
sisters, Harper and Hunter; she also benefited from the love and |
|
support of her grandparents and the other members of her extended |
|
family; and |
|
WHEREAS, A student at University Park Elementary School, this |
|
independent and spirited young girl was known on campus for her |
|
effervescent smile, sneak attack hugs, cheer teams formed at |
|
recess, and a penchant for teaching her friends how to tie their |
|
shoes; moreover, she was passionate about dancing, tumbling at |
|
Mustang Cheer, playing basketball, and participating in theater; |
|
possessed of a sweet and often silly personality, she cultivated |
|
happiness for others through her kindness, creativity, and ability |
|
to make people laugh; and |
|
WHEREAS, Hadley found a special home at Camp Mystic, a |
|
Christian summer camp near Kerrville, where she became an avid |
|
angler and was a proud member of the Tonk tribe; above all, she |
|
treasured being with her family and friends, and her untimely |
|
passing has inspired an outpouring of prayers and sympathy from the |
|
community at large; Hadley was a cherished congregant of Highland |
|
Park United Methodist Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although her journey on this earth ended far too |
|
soon, Hadley Hanna was a bright light and a source of joy in the |
|
lives of all who knew her, and she will forever hold a special place |
|
in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|
of Hadley Rebecca Hanna and extend profound condolences to the |
|
members of her family: to her parents, William Douglas Hanna and |
|
Carrie Crossman Hanna; to her sisters, Harper and Hunter Hanna; to |
|
her grandparents, Pam and Stanley Crossman, Jeanie and Duane |
|
Tinkler, and Bill and Donna Hanna; to her aunts, uncles, and |
|
cousins; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Hadley |
|
Hanna. |
