R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot fully express the sorrow felt at the
  passing of Brooke Catherine Harber of Dallas, who was tragically
  lost during the July 2025 flooding in Kerr County along with her
  sister, Blair Harber, and her grandparents, Charlene and Mike
  Harber; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of RJ and Annie Harber, Brooke Harber
  was born on November 6, 2013, and she was 11 years old at the time of
  her passing; she shared a strong bond with her older sister, Blair;
  and
         WHEREAS, A student at St. Rita Catholic School, Brooke had
  distinguished herself as an exemplary student and an accomplished
  athlete, playing soccer, basketball, volleyball, and lacrosse; she
  especially loved her speech and drama classes, and she had a special
  talent for improv comedy that could make a room erupt into laughter;
  and
         WHEREAS, Brooke drew strength from her faith, and she took a
  deep interest in her religious studies at St. Rita; she is
  remembered for her friendliness, her energetic personality, and her
  fierce determination; and
         WHEREAS, Although her time on this earth was far too brief,
  Brooke Harber was a ray of light to those who held her dear, and they
  will never forget the abundant happiness that she brought into
  their lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Brooke Catherine Harber and extend sincere condolences to the
  members of her family: to her parents, RJ and Annie Harber; to her
  aunt, Jennifer Harber; to her great-aunt, Lisa Cravotta King; to
  her great-uncles, Jimmy Cravotta and Greg Harber; and to her other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Brooke
  Harber.
