R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sergeant Daniel Gaskamp is retiring from the |
|
|
Washington County Sheriff's Office on August 31, 2025, concluding a |
|
|
half century of distinguished service in law enforcement; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This dedicated peace officer began his career with |
|
|
the Brenham Police Department, where he worked for 37 years; in |
|
|
1995, he was recognized with the Counter Attack on Crime Award from |
|
|
Associated Texans Against Crime; following his service with Brenham |
|
|
PD, he joined the Washington County Sheriff's Office, and he has |
|
|
served that agency for more than a decade; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sergeant Gaskamp's skill, expertise, and commitment |
|
|
to public safety have greatly benefited the citizens of Brenham and |
|
|
Washington County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his many |
|
|
accomplishments as he embarks on a well-deserved retirement; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sergeant |
|
|
Daniel Gaskamp on his retirement from the Washington County |
|
|
Sheriff's Office and extend to him sincere best wishes for the |
|
|
future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Sergeant Gaskamp as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
