R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A life filled with meaningful achievements drew to a
  close with the passing of Domingo T. Orozco of Texas City on
  August 8, 2025, at the age of 77; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Valentin and Carmen Orozco, Dom Orozco
  was born on December 14, 1947; he grew up with the companionship of
  three siblings, Angela, Mary Lou, and Gloria, and he graduated from
  Texas City High School in 1966; answering his nation's call to duty,
  he joined the U.S. Army and served as a medical technician during
  the Vietnam War; he was awarded the Soldier's Medal in 1968, and he
  went on to be stationed in White Sands, New Mexico, after serving
  overseas; following his return to civilian life, he maintained his
  connection with the military community as a member of VFW Post
  No. 62 in Reading, Massachusetts, and American Legion Post No. 89
  in Texas City; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Massachusetts, Mr. Orozco
  was employed as a project manager and director at various companies
  over the course of his career; in addition to his professional
  achievements, he also coached soccer and served as president of the
  Reading United Soccer Club for several years; after returning to
  Texas, he became involved with the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of
  Commerce, where he gave generously of his time and talents by
  volunteering with the Golden Division and serving as director of
  volunteers; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Orozco was preceded in death by his wife,
  Geraldine Shanahan Orozco, and he was the proud father of two
  daughters, Deborah and Elizabeth; with the passing years, he had
  the privilege of watching his family grow to include four
  grandchildren, Luke, Mackenzie, Jacob, and Talon; in his leisure
  time, he enjoyed reading and writing; and
         WHEREAS, While his loss is difficult to bear, Dom Orozco
  leaves behind numerous friends and loved ones whose lives are far
  richer for having known him, and he will always hold a treasured
  place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Domingo T. Orozco and extend sincere condolences to his family
  and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dom Orozco.
