R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, John S. Bradfield Elementary School in the Highland
  Park Independent School District in Dallas is commemorating its
  100th anniversary in 2026; and
         WHEREAS, Constructed in 1926, Bradfield Elementary School
  was named for Dr. John Sherman Bradfield, a prominent local leader
  and president of the Highland Park school board; during his tenure,
  the school system grew from a two-room frame building to four
  campuses; and
         WHEREAS, Today, Bradfield Elementary serves approximately
  580 students in prekindergarten through fourth grade; ably guided
  by its current principal, Dr. Aimee Hilton, the campus further
  benefits from the contributions of its dedicated faculty and staff,
  as well as from the enduring support of Bradfield Elementary PTA;
  among the anniversary celebrations taking place this school year
  are a carnival and fundraising events, including the Millennial
  Centennial auction party; in addition, the PTA is gifting a new
  playfield to the school, which continues a tradition begun in 1976,
  when the group constructed a playground to commemorate Bradfield's
  50th anniversary; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of the past century, Bradfield
  Elementary School has fostered a nurturing learning environment and
  a rewarding sense of community, and in so doing, it has provided
  generations of young Texans with an education that has enriched
  them both academically and personally; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 100th
  anniversary of John S. Bradfield Elementary School and extend to
  all those associated with the campus sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
