R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Sara Van Dusen of Killeen is being inducted into the |
|
U.S. Army Operational Testers' Hall of Fame at Fort Hood on |
|
August 15, 2025; and |
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1994, the hall of fame is sponsored |
|
by the U.S. Army Operational Test Command, and it honors service |
|
members and civilians who have distinguished themselves in the |
|
field of operational testing; these outstanding professionals have |
|
played an instrumental role in evaluating the effectiveness of |
|
various military systems and equipment, ensuring that soldiers have |
|
access to the best possible tools in both training and combat |
|
conditions; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Van Dusen began her career in operational |
|
testing in 1984, and over the years, she has been recognized for her |
|
groundbreaking work in multiple test directorates; she has also |
|
mentored numerous other professionals in the field and helped to |
|
shape the Operational Test Command's methods for conducting tests |
|
and communicating results; she retired from OTC in 2021, after more |
|
than four and a half decades of exemplary service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through her professionalism, technical expertise, |
|
and commitment to excellence, Sara Van Dusen has significantly |
|
contributed to the mission of the U.S. Army, and it is a pleasure to |
|
join in honoring her for her many achievements; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sara Van Dusen |
|
on her induction into the U.S. Army Operational Testers' Hall of |
|
Fame and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Van Dusen as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
