R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of Daniel Anthony Pedrotti of Corpus Christi on July 30,
  2025, at the age of 94; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Del Rio on July 15, 1931, Dan Pedrotti was
  one of Daniel and Angelina Pedrotti's seven children; he was the
  first in his family to graduate from college and earned bachelor's
  and master's degrees in geology from Texas A&M University;
  answering his nation's call to duty, he served in the United States
  Air Force as a fighter pilot; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Pedrotti enjoyed a long and rewarding career in
  the oil and gas industry, starting out as a company geologist with
  Texaco; after settling in Corpus Christi and working as an
  independent exploration geologist, he went on to cofound Suemaur
  Exploration & Production; along the way, he served as president of
  the Corpus Christi Geological Society and as a member of the Texas
  Independent Producers & Royalty Owners Association; and
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to wildlife conservation, Mr. Pedrotti
  gave generously of his time as president of the Boone and Crockett
  Club and the Wild Sheep Foundation, and he was instrumental in
  building a coalition of dozens of conservationist organizations in
  order to impact state and federal policy and regulation; he was also
  a founding member of the Texas Bighorn Society, and he traveled
  throughout North America and other parts of the world to hunt 15
  species of wild sheep; moreover, he was a man of deep faith and an
  active philanthropist, and he and his wife, Carolyn, helped to
  carry on the work of many worthy community organizations; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Pedrotti and his wife shared a fulfilling
  marriage spanning seven decades, and he took great pride in their
  four children, Patti, Diane, Dan, and Mike, as well as their 11
  grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Admired for his devotion to his family, his faith,
  and his friends and colleagues, Dan Pedrotti leaves behind a legacy
  that will continue to inspire all those who were privileged to know
  him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Daniel Anthony Pedrotti and extend sincere condolences to his loved
  ones; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dan
  Pedrotti.
