R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt by
  the family and friends of Kellyanne Elizabeth Lytal of San Antonio,
  who was tragically lost in the July 4, 2025, flooding in
  Kerr County; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Malorie and James Lytal, Kellyanne
  Lytal was born in Houston on May 25, 2017, and she was eight years
  old at the time of her passing; she shared a strong bond with her
  younger sister, Emmalynn, and she benefited from the love and
  support of an extended family that included her grandparents,
  aunts, uncles, cousins, and godparents; and
         WHEREAS, Kellyanne was a student at Cambridge Elementary
  School, where she excelled academically and was recognized with the
  Cambridge PTO Excellence Award; her charismatic personality and her
  welcoming nature made an impression on her teachers and classmates,
  and she demonstrated her kindness by helping others; she dreamed of
  becoming an Alamo Heights High School cheerleader, and she hoped to
  one day attend The University of Texas at Austin and join Kappa
  Kappa Gamma Sorority; and
         WHEREAS, Outside of school, Kellyanne was involved in Girl
  Scouts, and she enjoyed such activities as roller blading, playing
  softball and soccer, and participating in gymnastics; she also had
  a passion for singing and dancing, sewing, and fashion, and she
  spent many happy hours shopping with her mother, playing sports
  with her father, and being silly with her sister; moreover,
  Kellyanne's faith played an important role in her life, and she took
  pleasure in reading Bible stories and attending Sunday school; and
         WHEREAS, Although her time on this earth was far too brief,
  Kellyanne Lytal was a ray of light in the lives of those who held her
  dear, and they will never forget the joy, laughter, and love that
  she shared with them; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Kellyanne Elizabeth Lytal and extend sincere condolences to the
  members of her family: to her parents, Malorie Liljenwall Lytal and
  James Wade Lytal; to her sister, Emmalynn Grace Lytal; to her
  grandparents, Laurie and Paul Tyler, Mary Beth and James Lytal, and
  Becky Liljenwall; to her godparents, Lauren and Landon Ludwick; and
  to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kellyanne
  Lytal.
