R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at
  the passing of eight-year-old Sarah Catherine Marsh of Mountain
  Brook, Alabama, who was tragically lost in the July 4, 2025,
  flooding in Kerr County; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Jill and Patrick Marsh, Sarah Marsh
  was born on May 30, 2017; she grew up surrounded by the love of her
  extended family along with many self-appointed "aunts" and "uncles"
  in Birmingham, Alabama, as well as in Dallas, Waco, and Arlington,
  but most of all, she adored her big brother, John; although she
  sometimes teased him as "annoying," they were the best of friends,
  teaming up for creative mischief, snuggling on the couch to watch
  slime videos, and hugging each other when they crossed paths in the
  school hallways; and
         WHEREAS, Sarah loved tagging along to meet her mother's
  patients, and she was an attentive "surgical assistant" for such
  procedures as the stitching up of her father's finger after another
  kitchen mishap; in addition, she was enthralled by her father's
  students at Samford University; and
         WHEREAS, A joyful and adventurous little girl, Sarah
  demonstrated a streak of sass so charming that one of her teachers
  confessed her reluctance to repress it; her vibrant personality and
  radiant smile brought her many friends, and she was fiercely loyal
  to each of them; she enjoyed showing off her splits or a new dance
  she had learned with her pals; and
         WHEREAS, Although it is immeasurably painful to say goodbye
  to one so young and full of promise, all who shared in the life of
  Sarah Marsh will treasure their memories of each happy moment spent
  in the company of this vibrant, kind, and engaging child; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Sarah Catherine Marsh and extend sincere condolences to the members
  of her family: to her parents, Jill Waters Marsh and Patrick Marsh;
  to her brother, John Marsh; to her grandparents, Jenger and Steve
  Waters and Debbie and Barclay Marsh; to her aunts, uncles, and
  cousins, David, Robin, Brooke, and Foster Waters and Jordan,
  Allison, Logan, and Cameron Marsh; and to her many other relatives
  and host of friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sarah
  Marsh.
