R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of Luis V. Allala Jr. of Cotulla on July 12, 2025, at the age
  of 88; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Luis Ayala Sr. and Florencia Valle Ayala,
  Luis Allala was born in Cotulla on February 10, 1937, and his family
  included his five siblings, Amador, Jose, Gustavo, Jesus, and Eva,
  and his four half-siblings, Maria, Luis Martin, Alfredo, and Isaac;
  and
         WHEREAS, After attending Cotulla High School, Mr. Allala
  moved to Des Plaines, Illinois, where he started a successful
  multigenerational irrigation business; in the course of his
  entrepreneurial career, he was also involved in real estate
  investment, restaurant ownership, and farming and ranching; he was
  especially passionate about building a connection to the land he
  grew up on, and he took great pride in establishing the Double LL
  Ranch; moreover, he was active in his community until well into his
  later years, and he was elected alderman at the age of 82; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Allala enjoyed the love and support of his wife,
  Yolanda, with whom he shared a rewarding marriage that spanned more
  than six and a half decades before her passing; together, the couple
  raised three children, Luis, Linda, and Leroy, and over the years,
  they welcomed six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren into
  their family; in his leisure hours, Mr. Allala took pleasure in
  gardening, listening to mariachi music, and watching old Western
  movies, but above all, he cherished time spent with his loved ones;
  and
         WHEREAS, Generous, intelligent, and kind, Luis Allala
  brightened the world for innumerable people, and they will forever
  hold him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Luis V. Allala Jr. and extend sincere condolences to the members of
  his family: to his children, Luis Allala III, Linda Rossi, and Leroy
  Allala; to his grandchildren, Lylianna, Luis, Lucinda, Ricardo,
  Gabriella, and Easton; to his great-grandchildren, Vida, Isla, and
  Luna; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Luis
  Allala.
