R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 60th annual Freer Rattlesnake Round Up took |
|
|
place on April 25 and 26, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This much-anticipated event was sanctioned by the |
|
|
International Barbeque Cookers Association as one of the |
|
|
organization's state championship cook-offs; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The contest drew accomplished pitmasters from |
|
|
across Texas who endeavored to create the tastiest dishes in |
|
|
several different categories; attendees enjoyed a fun, |
|
|
family-oriented atmosphere along with great food and spirited |
|
|
competition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 2025 Freer Rattlesnake Round Up was a fitting |
|
|
celebration of the smoked delicacies that are such an integral part |
|
|
of Texas culture, and it was a source of fond memories for all who |
|
|
attended; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 60th annual |
|
|
Freer Rattlesnake Round Up; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the organizers as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
