R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
  memories of Alejandro Lopez Jr. of San Diego, Texas, who passed away
  on May 23, 2025, at the age of 74; and
         WHEREAS, Alex Lopez was born to Alejandro and Elvira Garcia
  Lopez on October 31, 1950, in San Diego, and he grew up with the
  companionship of five sisters, Linda, Leila, Lesbia, Lubi, and
  Lucia; he graduated from San Diego High School in 1969, and after
  serving his country as a member of the U.S. Army, he enjoyed a
  civilian career as a machinist inspector at Corpus Christi Army
  Depot that spanned more than 42 years; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to his family, Mr. Lopez shared 49
  years of marriage with his wife, Angelica, and he took great pride
  in his children, Alejandro and Alma; and
         WHEREAS, A man of faith, Mr. Lopez served as a pastor at
  Fishers of Men Worship Center for 15 years; in his leisure hours, he
  enjoyed a variety of interests, including hunting for antiques and
  other treasures, attending gun shows, and barbecuing; and
         WHEREAS, While his loss is difficult to bear, Alex Lopez
  leaves behind numerous friends and loved ones whose lives are far
  richer for having known him, and he will always hold a treasured
  place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Alejandro Lopez Jr. and extend sincere condolences to the
  members of his family: to his wife, Angelica G. Lopez; to his
  children, Alejandro Lopez III and Alma Rosa Lopez; to his three
  sisters, Linda Luz Garza, Leila Lilia Garcia, and Lesbia Lorela
  Lopez; to his brother-in-law, Leonel Lichtenberger; and to his
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Alex Lopez.
