R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort
  those saddened by the death of Roldan Montalvo Jr. of Hebbronville
  on July 12, 2025, at the age of 80; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Roldan Montalvo Sr. and Cristela Almaraz
  Montalvo, Roldan Montalvo was born on February 12, 1945, in Alice
  and grew up sharing in the companionship of two siblings, Dalia and
  David; after serving as a state game warden, he embarked on a
  rewarding career as an educator that included tenures as a golf
  coach, a high school assistant principal, and a teacher at
  Hebbronville Elementary School; he also worked a second job at the
  family business, Roldan's Texaco; and
         WHEREAS, Valuing family above all else, Mr. Montalvo was a
  devoted husband to his wife, Anna, and he took great pride in his
  children, Melissa, Jessica, and Roldan; with the passing years, he
  delighted in becoming a grandfather to eight grandchildren, Eric,
  Ricardo, Austin, Dalyssa, Kayden, Seth, Omar, and Karina, and he
  was further blessed with five great-grandchildren, Abran, Ameli,
  Mia, Gianna, and Graeson; in his leisure hours, he enjoyed playing
  golf and watching his favorite sports teams, the Dallas Cowboys and
  the Houston Astros; and
         WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this esteemed
  man's love and friendship will always remember him with great
  admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Roldan Montalvo Jr. and extend sincere condolences to the
  members of his family:  to his wife, Anna R. Montalvo; to his
  children, Melissa Dale, Jessica Curbow and her husband, Sean, and
  Roldan Javier Montalvo and his wife, Jessica; to his grandchildren,
  Eric Montalvo, Ricardo Ramirez, Austin Dale, Dalyssa G. Perez,
  Kayden Curbow, Seth Curbow, Omar Montalvo, and Karina Montalvo; to
  his great-grandchildren, Abran Ramirez, Ameli Montalvo, Mia
  Montalvo, Gianna Montalvo, and Graeson Perez; to his siblings,
  Dalia Johnson and David Montalvo and his wife, Gilda; and to his
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Roldan
  Montalvo.
