R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at |
|
|
the passing of eight-year-old Anna Margaret Bellows of Houston, who |
|
|
was tragically lost in the July 4, 2025, flooding in Kerr County; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Patricia and Warren Bellows, |
|
|
Margaret Bellows was born on October 27, 2016; she shared a strong |
|
|
bond with her sister, Mary, and she also benefited from the support |
|
|
of her grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Margaret was a student at St. John's School at the |
|
|
time of her passing; tenacious and bold, she had a zest for life and |
|
|
deeply loved her family members, friends, and pets; she also |
|
|
enjoyed playing sports, especially field hockey, soccer, and |
|
|
basketball, and her laughter and hugs brightened the days of her |
|
|
loved ones; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although it is immeasurably painful to say goodbye |
|
|
to someone so young and full of promise, those mourning the loss of |
|
|
Margaret Bellows may find comfort in knowing that their lives have |
|
|
been forever enriched by the joyful times they spent in her company; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|
|
of Anna Margaret Bellows and extend sincere condolences to the |
|
|
members of her family: to her parents, Patricia Harris Bellows and |
|
|
Warren Sylvanus Bellows IV; to her sister, Mary Elizabeth Bellows; |
|
|
to her grandparents, Richard and Kathleen Harris and Warren and |
|
|
Ruth Bellows; to her aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Robert Brockman; |
|
|
to her cousins, James Maxwell and Julia May Brockman; and to her |
|
|
other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Margaret |
|
|
Bellows. |
