R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Manuel Delgadillo of Del Valle High School has been |
|
|
named the 2025-2026 Secondary Teacher of the Year in the Ysleta |
|
|
Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A social studies teacher at Del Valle High, |
|
|
Mr. Delgadillo has enjoyed a rewarding career in education that has |
|
|
spanned seven years, and he works to promote student success by |
|
|
providing a safe and supportive learning environment; in his |
|
|
leisure time, he enjoys reading, writing, attending open mic |
|
|
events, and coaching for the PBS quiz competition High Q; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Manuel Delgadillo exemplifies the passion, |
|
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
|
best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
|
in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Manuel |
|
|
Delgadillo on his selection as the 2025-2026 Secondary Teacher of |
|
|
the Year in the Ysleta Independent School District and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success with his important work; |
|
|
and, be it further |

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Delgadillo as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
