R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort
  those saddened by the loss of Nelda Sue Hardie Napp of Houston, who
  passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 93; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Era and Wylie Hardie, the former
  Nelda Hardie was born on January 6, 1932, in Turnersville, and she
  attended Pasadena High School; and
         WHEREAS, On January 28, 1951, she married the love of her
  life, Donald Napp; they shared a rewarding union that spanned 74
  years before Mr. Napp's passing in June 2025, and the couple
  traveled extensively and lived in many different places in the U.S.
  and abroad; Mrs. Napp was a devoted mother to her children, Susan,
  Edward, and David, and with the passing years, she had the privilege
  of seeing her family grow to include five grandchildren, Charles,
  Sarah, Zachary, Nicole, and Amanda, and nine great-grandchildren;
  and
         WHEREAS, Active in her community, Mrs. Napp gave generously
  of her time and talents as a volunteer with the Klein United
  Methodist Church Altar Guild, the Korean War Veterans Association,
  and multiple Republican women's organizations; her hobbies
  included floral design and sewing, and she was a member of various
  garden clubs and social groups; and
         WHEREAS, Blessed with a devoted family and admiring friends,
  Nelda Napp was a source of joy to all who shared in the richness of
  her life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Nelda Sue Hardie Napp and extend sincere condolences to the
  members of her family: to her children, Susan Napp Willis, Edward
  Hardie Napp, and David Alan Napp; to her son-in-law, Charles Perry
  Willis Jr.; to her daughter-in-law, Rose Napp; to her longtime
  friend, Pat Nichol; to her grandchildren, Charles Perry Willis III,
  Sarah Willis Cady, Zachary Willis, Nicole Napp Bordelon, and Amanda
  Napp; to her great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and
  many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nelda Napp.
