R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to
  a close with the passing of former state representative Jodie Anne
  Laubenberg on September 1, 2025, at the age of 68; and
         WHEREAS, A sixth-generation Texan, Jodie Laubenberg was born
  on April 20, 1957; she graduated from The University of Texas at
  Austin, and she worked in the computer industry before concluding
  her career to focus on her home and family; she shared a rewarding
  marriage with her husband, Bob Laubenberg, and she was a devoted
  mother to their two children, David and Liz; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Laubenberg gained experience in public service
  as a member of the Parker City Council, and in 2002, she was elected
  to the first of eight terms in the Texas House of Representatives;
  over the course of her exemplary tenure, she ably represented House
  District 89, and she distinguished herself through her membership
  on numerous legislative committees, including more than a decade of
  service on the Public Health Committee, which she chaired during
  the 78th and 80th Legislatures; she also served as chair of the
  Elections Committee during the 84th and 85th Legislatures, and she
  completed multiple assignments with the Texas Environmental Flows
  Advisory Group and the committees on Judiciary and Civil
  Jurisprudence, Natural Resources, and Local and Consent Calendars;
  and
         WHEREAS, A stalwart champion of conservative values,
  Representative Laubenberg authored the Woman's Health and Preborn
  Pain Act, a landmark pro-life bill; she also played an instrumental
  role in supporting legislation on issues such as tort reform,
  responsible budget management, and private property rights; among
  her many achievements, she received recognition from the National
  Federation of Independent Business, Young Conservatives of Texas,
  the Texas Association of Business, Dallas Morning News, Inside
  Collin County Business, the Lovejoy Independent School District,
  and the Princeton Area Chamber of Commerce; and
         WHEREAS, Jodie Laubenberg demonstrated a steadfast
  commitment to her community and the advancement of the Lone Star
  State, and she leaves behind a record of service that her loved ones
  can remember with pride; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Jodie Anne Laubenberg and extend heartfelt sympathy to her
  family and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jodie
  Laubenberg.
