R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Judge Niland has distinguished himself in his
  responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of Speaker Pro
  Tempore Joe Moody during the 1st and 2nd Called Sessions of the 89th
  Texas Legislature; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Niland has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
  such as building relationships with constituents and analyzing and
  reporting on the policy efforts of the Committee on Disaster
  Preparedness and Flooding; in addition to gaining valuable
  experience in the field of public service, he has learned more about
  the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone
  Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Niland is a graduate of Columbia University,
  where he studied sustainable development, was an offensive lineman
  on the football team, and held leadership roles with the Sigma Chi
  Fraternity; along the way, he served as an engagement specialist at
  the Staten Island Borough Hall and as a regulatory compliance
  specialist at Palmer Steel Supplies in McAllen; in 2024, he was
  recognized as Counselor of the Term at Camp Longhorn in Burnet; and
         WHEREAS, Judge Niland has performed his duties as a
  legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Judge Niland for
  his service as a legislative aide in the office of Speaker Pro
  Tempore Joe Moody and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Niland as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
