R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Judge Niland has distinguished himself in his |
|
responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of Speaker Pro |
|
Tempore Joe Moody during the 1st and 2nd Called Sessions of the 89th |
|
Texas Legislature; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Niland has provided |
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
such as building relationships with constituents and analyzing and |
|
reporting on the policy efforts of the Committee on Disaster |
|
Preparedness and Flooding; in addition to gaining valuable |
|
experience in the field of public service, he has learned more about |
|
the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone |
|
Star State; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Niland is a graduate of Columbia University, |
|
where he studied sustainable development, was an offensive lineman |
|
on the football team, and held leadership roles with the Sigma Chi |
|
Fraternity; along the way, he served as an engagement specialist at |
|
the Staten Island Borough Hall and as a regulatory compliance |
|
specialist at Palmer Steel Supplies in McAllen; in 2024, he was |
|
recognized as Counselor of the Term at Camp Longhorn in Burnet; and |
|
WHEREAS, Judge Niland has performed his duties as a |
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Judge Niland for |
|
his service as a legislative aide in the office of Speaker Pro |
|
Tempore Joe Moody and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Niland as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
