R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of David Max Fowler of Sulphur Springs on January 14, 2025,
  at the age of 88; and
         WHEREAS, The son of David Taylor Fowler and Mozell Fowler,
  David Fowler was born in Bailey on April 9, 1936, and he grew up with
  the companionship of a sister, Terri Jo; following his graduation
  from high school, he answered his nation's call to duty by serving
  in the U.S. Army; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Fowler distinguished himself over the course of
  his career as an auctioneer and as co-owner and co-operator of
  Sulphur Springs Livestock Auctions; widely respected, he was a
  member of the Livestock Marketing Association and the Northeast
  Texas Beef Improvement Organization; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Fowler cherished time
  spent with his loved ones; he was the devoted father of three
  children, Nick, Tammy, and Kim, and he eventually welcomed a host of
  grandchildren and great-grandchildren into his family; he was
  preceded in death by a granddaughter, Haley Pogue; a man of faith,
  he was a valued congregant of Grace Family Church; and
         WHEREAS, Although David Fowler is deeply missed, he has left
  his family and friends with a wealth of memories that they will
  forever treasure; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature, 2nd
  Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of David Max Fowler
  and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of his family: to
  his son, Nick Fowler, and his wife, Rachel; to his daughters, Tammy
  Hudson and her husband, Kirby, and Kim Moore and her husband, Mike;
  to his grandchildren, Brandon Fowler, Ty Fowler, Bailey Conley,
  Logan Pogue, Kelsy Williams, Chesley Reed, Kasey Rackley, Kaden
  Moore, and Carston Moore; to his great-grandchildren; to his
  sister, Terri Jo Nichols; and to his other relatives and friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of David Fowler.
