R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the |
|
passing of Christi Michelle Mayeux of Sulphur Springs on June 30, |
|
2025, at the age of 51; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Don Carson and Carol Elaine |
|
Overstreet, the former Christi Overstreet was born in Winnsboro on |
|
July 24, 1973, and she grew up with the companionship of two |
|
sisters, Tracie and Vicki; and |
|
WHEREAS, She married the love of her life, William Mayeux, on |
|
November 17, 2007, and the couple shared a fulfilling union that |
|
spanned 17 years; she was blessed with a daughter, Mariah, and she |
|
was a caring stepmother to her husband's sons, Wesley and Collin; |
|
over the years, she had the pleasure of welcoming into her family |
|
three grandchildren, Layton, Landry, and Lawsyn; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Mayeux enjoyed a rewarding career as a |
|
radiologist, and she worked as a certified pharmacist for more than |
|
two decades; a woman of deep faith, she was a member of New |
|
Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Christi Mayeux will be deeply missed, those |
|
who held her dear will forever remember the warmth and kindness she |
|
brought into their lives; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature, 2nd |
|
Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Christi |
|
Michelle Mayeux and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her |
|
family: to her husband, William Mayeux; to her daughter, Mariah |
|
Indermuehle; to her stepsons, Wesley Neal Mayeux and William |
|
"Collin" Mayeux; to her grandchildren, Layton Bateman, Landry |
|
Mayeux, and Lawsyn Mayeux; to her parents, Don and Carol |
|
Overstreet; to her sisters, Tracie Sickles and her husband, Chuck, |
|
and Vicki Bassham and her husband, Tony; and to her other relatives |
|
and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this |
|
day, it do so in memory of Christi Mayeux. |
