SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 27
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Kenneth Gray
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Kenneth Edward Gray of Hooks on July 21, 2025, at the
  age of 86; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Westover on November 20, 1938, Kenneth
  Gray was the son of Ara New and James Doyle Gray, and he grew up
  with the companionship of two brothers, Jerry and Glen, and a
  sister, Gwen; answering his nation's call to duty, he served in
  the U.S. Marine Corps; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Gray received a bachelor's degree in
  industrial arts from North Texas State University; he went on to
  embark on a rewarding career as an engineer at Day and Zimmermann
  and retired after nearly four decades; during his leisure hours,
  he enjoyed woodworking, browsing flea markets, repurposing
  ordinary items into works of art, listening to jazz and big band
  music, and tinkering on other projects; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Gray benefited from the
  love and support of his wife, Glenda, and they shared more than a
  half century together before her death in 2015; he was the proud
  father of a daughter, Kelly, and two sons, Doug and Casey, and
  with the passing years, his cherished family grew to include a
  grandson, Dillon; and
         WHEREAS, An easygoing and loving man, Kenneth Gray
  enriched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him,
  and they will forever hold him close in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Kenneth Edward Gray and extend sincere condolences to the
  members of his family:  to his daughter, Kelly Rose; to his sons,
  Doug and Casey Gray; to his grandson, Dillon Gray; to his
  sister-in-law, Sue Gray; and to his other relatives and friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Kenneth Gray.
