SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The annual Wild West Festival BBQ Cook-Off is |
|
|
taking place in Springtown on September 20, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Wild West Festival BBQ Cook-Off is sanctioned |
|
|
by the Champions Barbecue Alliance as one of the organization's |
|
|
state championship events; this much-anticipated competition |
|
|
features talented pitmasters from across the region who put their |
|
|
culinary skills to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest |
|
|
entries in several different categories; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Guests have the opportunity to sample a variety |
|
|
of delicious dishes as they enjoy a fun, family-oriented day, |
|
|
while taking in the beauty of historic downtown Springtown; |
|
|
festivities include more than 200 vendor booths, a parade, a |
|
|
gunfighters exhibit, and a children's area; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and |
|
|
the Wild West Festival BBQ Cook-Off is sure to offer first-rate |
|
|
food and entertainment that will delight everyone in attendance; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature, |
|
|
1st Called Session, hereby commemorate the 2025 Wild West |
|
|
Festival BBQ Cook-Off and extend to the organizers, contestants, |
|
|
and attendees sincere best wishes for a successful and memorable |
|
|
event. |
