SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 46
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Steven Murrah
 
         WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Steven Ray Murrah of
  Texarkana were deeply saddened by his death on July 30, 2025, at
  the age of 44; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Texarkana on December 14, 1980, Steven
  Murrah was the son of Mike and Wesla Murrah, and he grew up with the
  companionship of his brother, William; for more than 20 years, he
  worked at White Sign Company, beginning in installation and going on
  to become vice president of field operations; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Murrah benefited from the
  love and support of his wife of 18 years, Erin; he took great pride
  in their son, Nathan, and their daughter, Elise, who preceded her
  father in death; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted Christian, Mr. Murrah found great joy
  in serving others and sharing fellowship with other congregants
  at First Baptist Church, where he and his wife taught Sunday
  school; in his leisure hours, he took pleasure in spending time
  outdoors, including playing golf, hunting, and delighting his
  loved ones with his talents on the grill; and
         WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Steven Murrah
  will long remember the way he touched their lives with his warmth,
  his wit, and his kindness and generosity, and he will forever hold a
  treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of
  Steven Ray Murrah and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of
  his family: to his wife, Erin Murrah; to his son, Nathan Murrah; to
  his mother, Wesla Murrah; to his father, Mike Murrah, and his wife,
  Lynn; to his brother, William Murrah, and his wife, Kristi Murrah;
  to his grandmother, Frances Norsworthy; and to his many other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Steven Murrah.
