SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
citizens of Robstown in mourning the loss of Lauro "Larry" |
|
Hernandez Jr., who died July 27, 2025, at the age of 48; and |
|
WHEREAS, Larry Hernandez was born on February 27, 1977, in |
|
Robstown to Ester Hernandez and the late Lauro Hernandez Sr.; he |
|
graduated from Robstown High School in 1995, where he was known |
|
for his warm smile and positive energy and for his love of |
|
baseball; and |
|
WHEREAS, Larry built a rewarding career with C and L |
|
Plumbing, and he was a trusted and respected employee at the |
|
company for more than 20 years; he approached each day's work and |
|
all of his endeavors with diligence and integrity, and he earned |
|
the admiration of his colleagues and clients for his tireless |
|
commitment to his trade and his readiness to lend a hand wherever |
|
it was needed; and |
|
WHEREAS, A man of abiding Catholic faith, Larry was a |
|
parishioner of Saint Mary's Mission, where his spirit of |
|
humility and service reflected the quiet strength of his |
|
convictions; he lived his faith not in words alone but in his |
|
daily life and through his frequent acts of kindness, |
|
encouragement, and compassion; and |
|
WHEREAS, Above all, Larry adored and appreciated his |
|
family; he was a loving son and brother, and his wife, Michelle, |
|
was his greatest love and his best friend; he delighted in his |
|
children and was a doting father to his daughter, Sonia Jayne, |
|
his sons Lauro and Aaron, and his late son Christopher, who all |
|
enriched his life immeasurably; and |
|
WHEREAS, Larry Hernandez was a deeply devoted family man, |
|
a loyal friend, and a valued member of his community who never |
|
hesitated to put others before himself; his generosity and |
|
kindness left an indelible mark on all who were privileged to |
|
know him, and his memory will be forever cherished by his family |
|
and countless loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life |
|
of Lauro Hernandez Jr. and extend sincere condolences to his |
|
bereaved family; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Larry Hernandez. |
