SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 64
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Joan Light
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Joan Bradley Light of Kilgore on June 29, 2025, at the
  age of 90; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of L. E. Bradley and Doris Dean
  Bradley, the former Joan Bradley was born in Jacksonville on
  October 21, 1934, and she grew up with the companionship of a
  brother, Bob; she later married J. B. Light, and the couple went
  on to share a fulfilling union that spanned 61 years until his
  passing in 2014; she took great pride in their two children, Lynn
  and Alan, and with the passing decades, she had the pleasure of
  seeing her treasured family grow to include four grandchildren,
  Cameron, Bailey, Matthew, and Zack, who preceded his grandmother
  in death, and a great-grandchild, Logan; and
         WHEREAS, A proud graduate of Kilgore College, Mrs. Light
  enjoyed a long and rewarding career with the institution as a
  secretary in the business administration, financial aid, and
  human resources offices; sustained by a strong faith, she was a
  valued member of Camille Acres Baptist Church for more than six
  decades; she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and creating floral
  arrangements and various works of art in her leisure hours, and
  above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her family
  and friends; and
         WHEREAS, A talented and loving woman, Joan Light will be
  deeply missed, and those who held her dear will forever remember
  the warmth and kindness she brought into their lives; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Joan Bradley Light and extend sincere condolences to the
  members of her family: to her children, Lynn Silvey and her
  husband, Paul, and Alan Light and his wife, Julie; to her
  brother, Bob Bradley, and his wife, Sally; to her grandchildren,
  Cameron Hattig, Bailey Silveria, and Matthew Silvey; to her
  great-grandchild, Logan Hattig; and to her other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Joan Light.
