SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
recognize Richard San Jose, who is retiring from the Office of |
|
the Comptroller of Public Accounts on August 28, 2025, after 20 |
|
years of exemplary state service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Richard joined the comptroller's office in |
|
September of 2007 as a contract developer in the Special |
|
Procurement Division; his technical expertise, innovative |
|
thinking, and unwavering work ethic were integral in the |
|
establishment of the Texas Multiple Award Schedule Program, and |
|
he is retiring as a contract manager of the program's contracts; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure, Richard has played |
|
a vital role in strengthening division processes and procedures, |
|
and his positivity and professionalism have built lasting |
|
partnerships with vendors and customers and provided trusted |
|
support to many of his colleagues; and |
|
WHEREAS, An esteemed veteran of the United States Army, |
|
Richard served with courage and honor in many roles, including as |
|
a master sergeant and as a tank commander with the Third Armored |
|
Division in Operation Desert Storm; he has demonstrated a passion |
|
for collaboration and has fostered a culture of excellence during |
|
his decade of public service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Richard San Jose has exemplified the highest |
|
ideals of character and ethics as a valued mentor and leader |
|
within the Special Procurement Division, and his presence at the |
|
Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly |
|
missed; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Richard San Jose |
|
on his exemplary career and extend to him best wishes for |
|
continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
