SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 78
         WHEREAS, The Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating
  its 125th anniversary in 2025; and
         WHEREAS, The chamber traces its origins to June 5, 1900,
  when a small group of local business leaders established the
  Tyler Commercial Club to promote economic development; the group
  became the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce in 1918, and it has
  grown to serve a membership of more than 2,000 businesses,
  organizations, and individuals; since its inception, the chamber
  has distinguished itself as a driving force for commercial
  growth, community advancement, and collaboration throughout
  Smith County and the surrounding region; and
         WHEREAS, The Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce has
  demonstrated a steadfast commitment to supporting businesses,
  fostering entrepreneurship, and facilitating workforce
  training; in addition, the chamber has played an instrumental
  role in attracting investment and innovation to the community,
  and it has made significant contributions to civic engagement,
  tourism, educational partnerships, and quality-of-life
  initiatives; and
         WHEREAS, For more than a century, the Tyler Area Chamber of
  Commerce has been a respected and unifying voice for progress and
  prosperity in the region, and its members can indeed take pride
  in their organization's impressive legacy of service and
  leadership; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 125th
  anniversary of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and extend to
  all those affiliated with the group sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for the chamber as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
