SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 83
         WHEREAS, Justice Greg Neeley is retiring from the Twelfth
  Court of Appeals on October 31, 2025, concluding a remarkable
  tenure on the court that has spanned a decade; and
 
         WHEREAS, In 2015, Justice Neeley was appointed as the 17th
  justice to serve the Twelfth Court of Appeals; before taking the
  bench, he worked in the Gregg County District Attorney's Office,
  where he was named chief felony prosecutor, and he had a 30-year
  career in private practice in the Longview area; and
 
         WHEREAS, A native of Victoria, Justice Neeley earned his
  bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his
  juris doctor degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law;
  active in his professional community, he has served in leadership
  roles with the State Bar of Texas, and he has held membership in
  such organizations as the American Bar Association and the Texas
  Association of Defense Counsel; and
 
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Justice Neeley benefits
  from the love and support of his wife, Elizabeth Neeley; and
 
         WHEREAS, Greg Neeley's dedication, integrity, and
  commitment to the law have greatly benefited the work of the
  Twelfth Court of Appeals, and he may indeed reflect with pride on
  his service as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his
  life; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Greg Neeley
  on his retirement from the Twelfth Court of Appeals and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for Justice Neeley as an expression of high regard from
  the Texas Senate.
