Amend CSHB 18 (house committee printing) on page 16, between lines 19 and 20, by inserting the following:
(c) Consent under this section is ineffective if it purports to authorize the provision of a mental health care service to a child younger than 18 years of age that affirms a child's perception of a child's gender that is inconsistent with the child's biological sex.
