Amend CSHB 23 (house committee printing) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
SECTION ____. Chapter 247, Local Government Code, as added by Chapter 654 (HB 14), Acts of the 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, is amended by adding Section 247.0021 to read as follows:
Sec. 247.0021. FEE AUTHORIZED. A regulatory authority may impose a reasonable administrative fee on an applicant or owner electing for a person to perform a development document review or conduct a development inspection under Section 247.002 to offset the cost of oversight, including final compliance review, and database maintenance.
