Amend CSHB 500 (house committee report) as follows:

(1)  Strike page 52, lines 16 through 21.

(2)  Add the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumber subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:

SECTION ____.  TRUSTEED PROGRAMS WITHIN THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR: BORDER OPERATIONS. The amount of $275,000 is appropriated from the general revenue fund to the Trusteed Programs within the Office of the Governor for the two-year period beginning on the effective date of this Act for border operations.
