Amend HB 1943 (house committee report) on page 1, by striking lines 5 and 6, and substituting the following:

SECTION 1.  Sections 152.2541(c) and (d), Human Resources Code, are amended to read as follows:

(c)  The commissioners court shall [may] pay the juvenile board members [chairman] additional annual compensation in an amount the commissioners court determines [of $1,200] for the added duties imposed on the members [chairman. The commissioners court may pay the other members of the board additional annual compensation of not more than $1,200]. The additional compensation shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the general fund [or any other available fund] of the county.
