Amend CSHB 3225 (house committee report) on page 3 as follows:
(1) On line 14, strike "and".
(2) On line 18, strike the underlined period and substitute "; and".
(3) Between lines 18 and 19, insert the following:
(4) ensure that the process described in Subdivision (3) does not result in the designation of library material as sexually explicit material because of discrimination against the race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender, religion, language, or disability of the:
(A) characters or persons depicted in the material; or
(B) author or contributing editor of the material.
