Amend HB 3848 (on third reading) as follows:

(1)  On page 1, strike lines 6-7 and substitute the following:

SECTION 1.  Section 754.015, Health and Safety Code, is amended by amending Subsection (e) and adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:

(2)  On page 1, between lines 10 and 11, insert the following:

(f)  Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, for a building with four stories or less, the commission by rule shall authorize the inspection and certification of equipment once every five years instead of requiring an annual inspection.
