Amend CSHB 4443 (house committee report) as follows:
(1) On page 1, line 24, between "the" and "program", insert "pilot".
(2) On page 2, line 5, between "establish" and the underlined colon, insert "under the pilot program".
(3) On page 2, strike lines 6 through 14, and substitute the following:
(1) training and curriculum requirements that reflect recognized industry practices and align with occupational advancements in the field of energy-efficient technologies;
(2) eligibility criteria that prioritize participation by energy-efficient technology employers, public junior colleges, and public technical institutes with a proven history of workforce placement, skills development, and long-term career advancement;
(3) a certificate of completion that is portable and recognized by industry and training stakeholders as an indication of meaningful workforce preparation; and
(4) mechanisms to ensure instruction is delivered by instructors with demonstrated occupational expertise and relevant industry experience.
(4) On page 2, lines 23 and 24, strike "within the field of energy-efficient technologies" and substitute "in an occupation aligned with the participant's training and offering opportunities for wage growth and career advancement".
