Amend CSSB 1 (house committee report) in Article V of the bill, following the appropriations to the Department of Public Safety (page V-64), by adding the following appropriately numbered rider:

____.  Commercial Vehicle Enforcement. Out of funds appropriated to Strategy A.3.1, Texas Highway Patrol, it is the intent of the legislature that funds appropriated shall be used to enforce commercial vehicle enforcement on only vehicles that are over the maximum overall weight.
