Amend CSSB 2 (house committee report) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:

SECTION ____.  This Act takes effect only if the 89th Legislature, Regular Session, 2025, enacts HB 2 or other legislation that provides financing for public schools in a similar manner and that legislation becomes law. If legislation described by this section does not become law, this Act has no effect.
